It was recently discovered that the way inactive cards are handled in checkout has changed.
Now, if you scan an inactive card it WILL bring up the
patron account with just an Alert that reads:
"Patron account retrieved with an INACTIVE
card."
A ticket has been created (#1703) to look into this and
see what can be done. It is believed that this may have been associated with a
recent bug fix.
It has been suggested that if an inactive card shows up,
you should confirm the identity of the card holder and acquire the card for
disposal.
